![]() ![]() ![]() I don't know if this will help but im the other new guy so got nothin to lose right -) Here's a few pics of what it looks like when properly installed. Repeat the process until all screws are tight. Once they're all started tighten only 3 turns at a time one corner then the next then switch corners. (If it's in place but not lining up with the pegs, read the manual your setup is wrong) Now get each screw started. With one hand on the cooler fins carefully lower the cooler onto the processor while with your other hand making sure your bracket is still in its place and the screws line up with the pegs. Have a pea sized amount of TIM on the center of your processor, pin of the bracket in that hole in the block, and notch lined up. The pin in the previous photo is supposed to go through a hole in the center of the block (There is also a pin coming out of the block to ensure correct seating) if your bracket wobbles back and forth and will not stay in place you need to take it out, spin it and put it back in so the pin in the bracket is in the hole in the block and the notch in bracket lines up with the pin coming out of the block. When installed correctly it will not wiggle or turn. Im using a similar single tower 4 heatpipe cooler (Thermalright AS120 with 2 fans) and have my 12600k at 4.8 P core, 3.8 E core at about 1.23v under load which results in about 135w sustained draw, and I stay under 80c in 25c ish ambients on a 10 minute cinebench run. ![]()
